Shipping & Return Policy

Plant orders are shipped within 2-3 business days via USPS. We ship our plants Monday through Friday, all twelve months of the year! If you need your order urgently, please email us at customercare@thornandraised.com so we can upgrade your shipping (additional cost applied).  


Shipping will be via United States Postal Service within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY. 

We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure that they arrive at their final destination safely. Your plant will be meticulously wrapped in tissue paper and shipped in a sturdy box. Plants are shipped in their original plastic pot with soil to ensure their safety. Houseplants ship in their original nursery pots and are individually wrapped for safe arrival.

When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, and follow the care instructions provided.  


Orders under $75 --> shipping is calculated at checkout
Orders $75 and over --> free shipping


If you are ordering houseplants or rosette shaped succulents, priority shipping will be the only option provided. Hardier succulents will have the option to ship USPS First Class Mail however, keep in mind your order will take between 2-5 business days for arrival. Priority shipping is definitely recommended to maintain the health of your plant purchase. 


It is the responsibility of customers residing in areas subject to extreme heat waves to plan the shipments until the weather is safe for shipping. Please message us at customercare@thornandraised.com to postpone or reschedule your shipments. Extremely high temperatures can cause the plants to rot and die. Make sure to retrieve the packages as soon as they are delivered. Don't let the packages sit under direct sunlight for more than an hour.

⚠️Thorn & Raised is not responsible for damage done to plants by extreme weather. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk. 


It is the responsibility of customers residing in areas subject to freezing weather to purchase a heat pack.  While heat packs do not guarantee protection from frost, they will help prevent damage from occurring. Make sure to retrieve the packages as soon as they are delivered. Don't let the packages sit under direct sunlight for more than an hour. 


We only ship plants that are disease free and of good quality.  That being said, we cannot control what happens to your order during transit. We cannot accept returns on plant orders because the plants cannot survive two way shipping. However, we gladly offer refunds or replacements if your order arrives damaged. Please email us at customercare@thornandraised.com if you have any an issue with your plant order. Please provide your order number and photos of the damage, both to the packaging and the plants.  Do not dispose of the plants or packaging as the carrier may request their return.   

For accessories and pots orders, full refunds will be issued for any reason if your order is returned undamaged within 14 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for return shipping fees and any damage that occurs during transit.

  2. Proper Packaging: We take great care in packaging our live plants for shipping or delivery. Our packaging is designed to protect the plants during transit and ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. If, despite our efforts, your plant arrives damaged, please reach out to us immediately.

  3. Arrival Condition: We guarantee that your plant will arrive alive and ready to thrive. However, please keep in mind that some plants may experience minor stress or leaf shedding during transit due to environmental changes. This is a natural response and should not cause concern. In case of any major issues, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your plant.

  4. Plant Care Support: We are committed to helping you succeed in caring for your plants. We provide detailed care instructions for each plant, including watering, light requirements, and any specific needs. Our knowledgeable team is available to answer your questions and provide guidance to ensure your plants stay healthy and happy.

  5. Replacement or Refund: If, despite following our care instructions, your plant does not survive within the first 7 days of receiving it, we will offer a replacement or a refund, depending on the circumstances. Please note that certain conditions may apply, and we may require photos or additional information to assess the situation.

Please note that plants are living organisms, and their growth and survival depend on various factors, including proper care, environmental conditions, and individual plant characteristics. While we guarantee the quality of our plants, we cannot guarantee their long-term survival or growth once they are in your care.

Dried or wilted bottom leaves (naturally occurring in all plants; can be easily pulled off without damaging the plant) 
Potting soil on leaves (easily washed off with first watering) 
A couple of broken, missing, or wilted leaves, as long as 10 or more healthy leaves remain intact 
Minor color / shape differences from photograph in product listings (many succulents change color / shape continuously) 
Cold damage to packages without a heat pack 
Assorted products that differ from product photograph (Ex: collections and trays where selection is our choice) 
Missing packages that were delivered by USPS at the designated shipping address

Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
